Red to ruby color, no discoloring to the edges. Initially closed, little raspberry Then red fruit, violet and a little smoke. Still has a pleasant amount of acidity. This bottle was kept at Kanonkop for 20 years, hence the good condition. Still young in some ways.

Monthly Tasting Group LTB 2009-06; South-Africa (By HV): Cherries and paprika in the bouquet. Soft and fruity taste. The wine is in the second part in its mature life and imo it is not gaining by ageing. The opulence has disappeared and it all becomes a little too smooth without adding in complexity. Nevertheless a very good wine.

Fantastic blend - tasted with grilled beef tenderloin and it really opened up nicely and paired well with the tasty meat !
