Deep gold color. Spices, pineapple, and vanilla on the nose, with a much more apricot-y and grapefruit palate. Actually like the bit lower viscosity on this one.

Drank over 2 days, and was far superior on the 2nd. Dark gold color, almost orange. Classic Sauternes nose. Rich and thick, but a tad too much sweetness.

Drank this after a Rieussec 04, which proved superior. This one is less thick and less fresh. Still very nice, with exotic fruit and great sweetness. 2000 is clearly a lesser year.

Excellent sweet, gold coloured, exotic nose with apricot, pineapple and cidre. Intensily sweet. Great pairing with foie gras.

Rob, Gord, and Finn visit the Wedge (Wedge House, Queensberry, Central Otago, New Zealand): Beautiful tonight: opulent, caramelised, butterscotch, oily texture, sweet vanilla oak. this is a a soft smoothy, with considerable power, yet feels balanced due to a reasonable amount of acid cut.
