Started off a little hot because the wine was a little cold. When it warmed up it revealed a very nice and balanced Chardonnay. Oak was present but not overpowering. The wine had a little bit lighter body than the Dumol I had the previous night. The Hawk Hill bottling is my favorite of their Chards but the Dumol was clearly the better wine of the two this weekend.
Took a bit of time to open up, was singing after about an hour. Nice light touch of oak, bracing acidity, viscous texture. Beautiful nose of caramel, hint of tropical fruit. Very complex chard, in a great spot.
