  Holy cinnamon batman! Served blind, was totally enthralled from the first sniff. Enormous intensity, almost chewy with an earthly truffle finish. This was magnificent and only lost to the wine next to it because it faded in the glass -- to be fair, it's no shame to lose to DRC Montrachet. This is quite an unreal performance for a Maison wine, and a 1er at that. Drink up though, I suspect that fading finish is indicative that there's no upside to more age.

  Ringer in a blind tasting of Leflaive Pucelles and Ramonet Ruchottes. Virtually everyone pegged it as not beloning on the theme, but we were counfounded as to what it was. This odd man out was tasty no doubt, but I don't think it eclipsed the other wines today.

  Quite fresh, all about elegance and purity. It should have had a little more weight for such a good vintage but it's still delicious. Lemon/lime, flowers, honey and a touch of hazelnut. Good minerality. The acidity fits nicely with everything else and doesn't stand out. Solid finish too.
