Community Tasting Notes (average 85.8 pts. and median of 87 pts. in 7 notes)

Tasted by bboy on 1/23/2010 & rated 84 points: The second bottle Christine turned out much nicer. Typical Cab and a relief that it wasn't smokey as many southafricans turned out to be. (53 views)
Tasted by bboy on 12/25/2009 & rated 78 points: Lacking structure, watery on the palate. (115 views)
Tasted by rs on 9/18/2009 & rated 88 points: Last bottle was corked so I was excited to try it again and this bottle was a big step forward.
On the nose: Mint, tobacco, cherries and barnyard whiffs. Mediumbodied with striking balance and good acid, on the palate red berries, herbs, tobacco and cedar and quite good length. Good without food too. (247 views)
Tasted by rs on 8/28/2009 flawed bottle: Corked. Smell of wet cellar, dried out with no fruit. (271 views)
Tasted by Johehn on 7/28/2009 & rated 88 points: A nice CS. Not very heavy and also easy drinking without food. (330 views)
Tasted by perlasca on 12/13/2008 & rated 87 points: (478 views)

About red wine
The variety Red Bordeaux Blend on CellarTracker implies any blend using any or all of the five traditional Bordeaux varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec. As such, this is used worldwide, whether for wines from Bordeaux, Meritages from California and Canada, some Super-Tuscan wines etc.
