My first time with the 1959, and I was not disappointed. Packed with cedar, smoke, herbs, tobacco leaf, burnt chocolate and earthy red plums, the medium-bodied wine had a flamboyant edge to the texture and in the finish. What a treat to taste this fully-mature Pomerol.
