Even though this was past its prime, it was still fabulous to taste this at 70 years of age. You could still find some currants, cedar, and wet earth nuances, though much of the fruit had dropped, leaving you with a crisp, overly acidic finish. Such is life. Nothing lasts forever. Drink from 2022-2023.

En-Primeur campaign for the 2021 vintage; 4/25/2022-4/29/2022 (Bordeaux): From double magnum Medium minus intensity aromas of leather, earth, red fruits, mushroom, Autumn leaves, savoury notes, a little bonfire…in the mouth all of this exists with a lovely sense of freshness and fleshiness, a silky tannic burr and plenty of length. Incredible.
