  • Charismatic barny nose; luscious palate, gamey, herbs and spice; medium finish had a hint of heat. This drank well but calmed and came together on night 2. Im surprised that this is 75/25 grenache/syrah, because it comes off very syrah. A little too spicy (brett/heat combo) for my wife, but I loved it.

  • Big, silky and delicious with old world charm. Big nose of marzipan, horse sweat, violets and dark fruits. Soft and enveloping palate, med/low acidity and silky, ripe and chewy tannins. Dark fruit flavors with a touch of Brettiness. Heat peaks through very slightly, par for the course for large framed wines like this. Reminds me of Tablas Creek in a good way. This is ready to drink and probably won't be as enjoyable when the fruit dries out.

  • Son of a B this is good! Exactly what I want out of southern rhone and more. Perfect nose of melted red kookaburra licorice, hot desert air, olive brine, soy/worsteshire/potting soil thing that I get out of my favorite rhone reds. On the palate it was oh so deliciously dry with red fuits that were almost sweet but quickly turn dry and leathery. A perfect basil note and just a touch of brett deep in the nose that added a nice lil funky complexity. Love this wine and will get more for sure.

  • Nicely balanced wine. Great nose of Kookaburra licorice, dried herbs, black olives, tar, plums, and raspberries. Coffee, strawberries, raspberries, peppered meat, plum, basil, licorice, and sagebrush on the palate. Seemless wine through the medium plus finish. Nice tannins completely drying the mouth. Made me drool a bit :). Cried out for some rare meat but was fun to sip on its own. Maybe a little brett but nothing offputting. No noticeable heat and not overly extracted. Vacqs are making me happy these days!

  • Barnyard on the nose, with pepper, spice and fruit in the background. The fruit comes out on the tip of the tongue and all flavors balance well in the mouth. The finish is smooth and lingers nicely.
