Straightforward Vacqueyras - dark ruby that appears slightly cloudy. Hardly anything on the nose actually leading me to believe that this is at the end of its usefulness - hints of blueberry. Medium palate, again, it feels much of the fruit has burned away. There is still some there complicated a little by spice notes, but my advice would be to drink this now.

Maybe past peak, at least this bottle. Not sure if it is a bottle variation. More dense, fuller body, dark fruits, very little spice compared to prior bottles, fruits a bit muted with some vegetal notes and not much tannins to speak of. Still drinks well but has changed character.

Medium weight, fresh fruits, extremely well balanced. Has become somewhat more complex than two years ago. Age seems to be helping and its probably at its peak. Showing crimson brown aging colors, mixed fruits at the outset, finishes with some mild spice and very soft tannins. Better on day one with some decanting (fresher profile) than on day two. Compares favorably with a medium weight high end Chateauneuf du pape. This was worth the wait. 90+

Dark fruits with a sharp spicy edge. Fruits a bit muted with age, but still shows freshness and a sharpness on the finish. Quite decent and some complexity between the fruit and spice. Quite smooth as well.

On pop and pour, Rhone funk which blew off quickly and turned to muted dark fruit. Palate had lots of depth with plum and dark fruit.
