Medium straw color with lots of fairly coarse bubbles. Nose of apples, pears, and slight toast. On the palate, lots of Granny Smith apples and toasty, yeasty component. Good acidity and a sour apple finish. Would pair well with food, and could age for a while yet. Great sprakling wine for the price, in comparison to some NV Champagne.

This bottle showed better than a previous one with a mushrom and cheese omelette and then with grilled salmon. Rich mouthfeel. Somewhat sweet. But rich flavor that went well with the food.

Pronounced pinot aroma. Fairly sweet, not complex. It went well with a labster/foie gras dish. Less well with smoked trout the next day. Despite the sweetness, the finish ends slightly bitter.
