At age 16, still a first rate example of McLaren Vale Shiraz and a true indicator of Ben Riggs winemaking ability. Lovely medium bodied mouthfeel, lots of dark fruit and a touch of tar and tobacco. Nice long and spicy finish. Wish we had more.

Decanted about an hour. Not the deep purple hues of Aussie shiraz but not unlike the earthy French wines, in the glass at least. Lots of alcohol and black fruits, but not the ripe slap you in the face fruit. Very bold and overpowers bland food. Long long finish.
