  Really amazing nose, layered notes of eucalyptus, roses, red fruit, thyme and old leather. Very balanced and elegant, with fine powdery tannins, lingering with notes of mushrooms, crushed strawberries and black olives. Shows what a great Barolo can do.

  Dark ruby color with a tinge of garnet. Intense and fragrant on nose with dried blackberry and black cherry, tar, rose, tobacco, earth. Dry, crunchy avidity, velvety tannins, palate follows through. Full body, amazing balance and structure, long mellow finish. Brilliant.

  Text book barolo cru, wild nose with some floral notes mixed in with tar notes. Starting to show some brick red but still relatively clear with fine legs. Tannins are fine but still very present, wine seems to have a fair bit of life left. Seems to me to be acting more like the structured 96's than the really rich 97's.

  Decanted 3-4 hours. Light prune color, medium legs, on 👃 prunes, ripe nectarines, licorice, leather, cinnamon. Very dry, highly acidic , full milky structure , strong frontal tannins with burning throat & prune finish. Good to drink now.
