Very dark ruby. Nose of licorice, tar, gingerbread, plum, ripeness already visible. On the palate full bodied, mouth filling with broad tannins and fruit. This is a full throttle wine, with lots of ripe aromas but not oxidative or unduly hot. Score higher if you like this style
Explosive aromas of berries....brilliant bright raspberry flavors dominate with very supple tannis and a glycerin mouth coat...finish persists excellently....just outstanding and drinking perfectly right now
Did a 3 hour decant. Lots of cassis, cherry and a bit of Robitussin at the end. Had with Cuban Chicken Stew with Olives. By the end of the meal the Robitussin had disappeared and a nice bite developed. A great food wine and I'm glad I have 2 left.
Very flavorful and interesting but man what an artificial cough syrup fruit drink. Worth drinking at $40 and I did like it but 99 parker points is a bit wacky. So much cherry. An attack really. Also a little heat. Don't know what to make of this.
