I was very happy to find that this bottle was very much alive and well. Lots of fruit, good color. I really thought this would be in decline, but it seems better than my last bottle.

Dark ruby colored in the glass with aromas of cedar and earth. The fruit on the palate is subtle and nicely integrated. This is not an over-extracted fruit bomb. But it shows nicely and drinks very well. The tannins are integrated and smooth; the acidity is tame but present. Be careful what you pair this with so the food does not overwhelm the wine. I found this went beautifully with a butternut squash and goat cheese lasagna; just enough fruit and "umph" to compliment the spices and a medium finish to leave the palate wanting more...

This is getting better. Almost a year since my last bottle... Quite a dark, deep, ruby red. The second day was nicer for my tastes. Beautiful nose of dark fruits with hints of sour cherry on the palate. Very smooth tannins. My sense is that my remaining bottles need to be consumed over the next couple of years.

Really quite nice. Light ruby and clear in color. Nose out of the bottle was awesome. Bright and slightly tart cherries on the palate. Still has a ton of fruit. Quite surprised with the quality of the bottle.
