Couldn’t get the cork out but once filtered out this was the best DD I have had (100+ bottles). Nectar of the gods. Blackberries like I’m in the field. Great mouthfeel. Smooth finish. Wish I had more in my cellar, but next up is an ‘04!

With all due respect to what @unrelenting wrote in 2018, I have a completely opposite experience. This was fabulous. A beautiful elegant blend of mature fruit and excellent acidity. Wonderful varietal nose, silky mid-palate and long finish. All very nuanced, unlike a much younger wine, but very powerful in its understatement. This is what a mature PN should taste like and exactly what Veronique describes as her intent with the Louise. My only minor complaint that it was a bit thinner than I expected.
This is the first vintage of Louise that I could say would age to 25 years because the acidity and fruit are still holding up very well. I'll hold on to my other 4 bottles for a very long time, and will extend my drinking window to 2030.
Intense sweet raspberry pie atop a burly structure with some cinnamon and cedar - very much new world flavors with old world soul as you might expect from this producer. A wonderful bottle aged to perfection.

This is my first bottle of the vintage. A beautiful wine! It is drinking quite well right now with plenty of acidity, smooth tannins, a fair amount of fruit on the mid palate, with a medium long finish. This can take additional time in the cellar, so I will try again in 2019 or 2020.
