Decanted and drank over 4 days. Very fruity wine, deep purple (what I call 'dirty' purple) medium bodied. Cork was stained a shade darker than a Zin I opened recently, a surprise. Strong bouquet upon opening that reminded me of a winery floor. Bouquet was so alluring I found myself sticking my beak in the glass to get a whiff over and over again. Strong malbec flavor, slightly bitter. Finish lingered a good 20 seconds or so. Slight alcohol burn but nevertheless it is well hidden behind fruit. Legs ran slow. Slightly dry tannins which I felt on the inside of my cheeks. Went well with chocolate and, oddly enough, a turkey roast. Now on third day both the fruit and bouquet have held up well and improved. Alcohol sting completely gone, just pure fruit. A fine grained residue remains in a glass left out to evaporate. A very decent wine, a total overacheiver in my book. For $10 this should be in your glass.

Nice nose, very well rounded. A very good malbec. I'd certainly have this again

Has some traditional malbec flavors but it is a little green in the end. I liked the '06 reserve much better.
