Still deep purple color. Drinking beautifully at 28 years old out of magnum. Black cherries, blackberries, licorice and espresso in the nose. Concentrated black fruits in the flavor. Well balanced, medium to full bodied and a long smooth finish.

Elegantly aged 25 year old cab in an old fashioned style. Significant bricking around a core that resembled pinot noir in color, depth and clarity. Strong vanilla, baking spice and stewed red fruit on the nose. Very balanced and clearly on its final hurrah. Tasty but clipped finish. Same flavors on the palate as the nose. No significant decant necessary but it does need to blow off some initial funkiness. Held up well over 4 hours. Cork is brittle and lasts of dark sediment. Drink up!!

Satiny smooth red from Napa Valley‘s Oakville AVA, Niels Venge’s touch is so apparent in the balance, texture and subtle drive of this 24-year-old Cabernet. The subtlety, fragrance and lingering warmth makes it go down so beautifully. Was surprised by the amount and the thickness of the sediment. Looked like vintage port remains! Still deeply colored, this one is a joy right now but I frankly can’t see any reason to rush if you have any. Released at $70, if have any left you will find it worth every penny.

Medium bodied, finesse styled wine that's fully mature, with freshness in the silky, sweet cherry fruit that really carries through.
