More yeasty and earthy. More minerality on this with that bread yeast mixed in. Fruit was present but on the back end. I wish the citrus shined through more but it was lost. Decent finish but somewhat underwhelming.

A Bunch of Wines on a Saturday Afternoon (Ken's): Sells for around $22 I was told. There were some oohs and ahhs, but not from me. Don't get me wrong, its nice, but just because its from Burgundy and under $30, does not make it a value. Yeasty on the nose. Slight cherry notes (it is chardonnay based) which were interesting if not expected. Minerals. Drinkable and refreshing and I can find half a dozen Cavas that are more complex for half the price. Still, a fun sparkling wine, and certainly went well on the table.

Bobby Kacher with Bertrand Ambroise and Philipe & Vincent Lecheneaut (Esquin Wine, Seattle): 70% pinot, 30% chard. under-developed mousse. medium bodied. slightly stemmy. ripe red delicious apple. good pinot flavors. slightly angular with large unfocused bubbles.

Very much tastes as fun as entry level champagne. Crisp, apple-y, quite solid especially for the $19 I paid.
