Wonderful bloom of a nose - floral strawberry fields and truffles. Just enchanting and mesmerizing palate with well developed matured summer fruits enveloping in a ball of flavours. Complex yet simple. Really haven't had such a good Rioja in a long time and this also carried a burg like aura of a chambolle intermixed with feminine nsg. Elegant and satisfying.
The nose showed dried red berry and soil tones, with an autumnal profile as dry spice and crushed fall leaves wafted up from the glass. On the palate it was, at first lean, yet fleshed out toward the mid-palate with tart red fruit and inner floral tones. The finish was graceful, tapering off to a mix of dried fruits and spice--yet still fresh and youthful.
