This aged beautifully. Well balanced with just a hint of sweet black/red fruit. Not cloying at all. A bit of sediment and still has the acidity to keep it together. Smooth tannins. Drink this beauty now-2015. Don't wait too long and risk it. It's a great wine right NOW.
Tremendous nose. Black berry, currant, sweet cedar, and herb on the nose. Rich, deep, bramble fruit on the palate. Well-integrated tannin, medium acid, medium finish. Good amount of sweet cedar oak, but well integrated. Yummy.
Fabulous wine. Rich and multi-layered, with spice elements, a good amount of fruit, and hints of leather and chocolate. No alcohol heat, very soft tannins, nicely balanced and seemingly at its peak. I have one more bottle and wish there was more.
With grilled strip steak, asparagus, bread. Cork broke during opening, decanted through filter. Very little sediment. Ruby, nice color to the rim. Good nose (typical zin, some light black pepper). Dry, medium body, fruit still present, good depth, tannin in the middle but very smooth, moderate length, not flabby. On the end of the finish I got a touch of very dark chocolate. A Zin encroaching on Cab turf while keeping its heritage. Unfortunately my last bottle.
