  • Popped and poured with dinner. Medium red color. Notes of cranberry and smoke on the nose. Berries on the finish with good acidity. Not a long finish but an enjoyable wine.

  • 14.1% alcohol. Dark red color. Fragrant nose of black cherry, blackberry, and minerals. In the mouth, round and somewhat rustic. Plenty of black fruit that's tinged with Van der Kamp's signature earthiness. The rusticity makes the acidity seem a touch sharper than it really is, and it gives the finish a bit of a tart edge. Still, a really nice foil to Thanksgiving food. Good stuff. B+

  • Dark and rich purple with light aromas of tart dark berries and some smoke and a touch of pepper and spice...interesting, as this led to a wine that was not shy, but rather full textured with not a lot of layers of personality, but firm and a good fruit grip that seemed to have a note of cranberry and light plum, with a subtle framework. Not at all what I expected...
