An alluring and tempting Syrah with plush and deep red velvet color and aromas of baking spice. Wonderfully textured with fine grain tannins that frame the ripe raspberry, red currant, licorice and spice notes. A full length and detailed finish with long follow through. I could not imagine how this wine could be at any better stage in the future, so drink em this year I'd bet.

at a great place right now. Still a dark ruby with loads of blackberry and raspberry a bit of spice and a vanilla finish that makes me want to enjoy over the next few hours

Nose of blueberries and dark currants, even a little floral. Very sweet rhubarb, vanillin on a toasty oak frame. Short finish with an aftertaste of brambles and tar (not as unpleasant as that might read). Enough tannin and fruit for another 5 years. Not terribly nuanced.

I am not sure how the WS rated this wine 93 pts. I have cellared it properly, decanted and tasted samples over the course of 24 hours. I noted elements of game, tobacco and mint, but I felt the fruit was way to subtle. It peaked at about 6 hours and went down hill from there. The 85 is at the peak.

I liked this wine. It has currant, blackberry and pomegranite. A bit of spice. The wine is very nice. Keep the last one two more years.
