Tasted by sassywpl on 10/31/2009 & rated 75 points: There was not much aroma, which makes the taste less satisfying. Overall, a good red table wine. (229 views)
Tasted by Anonymous on 10/25/2009 & rated 87 points: Bordeaux nose that is Earthy and funky. The palate surprised me. Plummy fruit, spice, black pepper with a savory and sour quality. I was thinking raw meat and a little salty. Light bodied for Bordeaux and pretty smooth. If I see wine from this producer in another vintage I will buy. The top end of the very good category.

p.s. There is something in there I cannot quite place, but I just don't see it as vegetal. It is a little funky and sour though. (266 views)

Tasted by chrismillerpdx on 2/9/2009 & rated 85 points: I agree with the previous note -- bell peppers and cherries... Good amount of tannins that show up on the finish. I actually like this one for the price. It is not as oaky as I thought it would be, and the vegetable/green notes aren't unattractive. Again, as the previous note points out, it is very "Franc-y" in a way; pleasantly tart red fruits are apparent, but with some sweetish oak background. (443 views)
Tasted by dbp on 8/6/2008 & rated 84 points: Drank at a friends house and enjoyed it, considering the company, I knew it was an inexpensive bottle. Picked up a fresh one to explore in greater detail. Wine was in the glass an hour before I tried it. The nose is dominated by the (only 10%?) Cabernet Franc here: brussles sprouts, green peppers, and overly ripe cherries. Medium bodied showing some more green character on the palate. Finishes with quite a bit of tannin, the same vegetables from the nose, and not much fruit. This wine was the 3rd of 4th bottle of the night for us the first time I had it, so perhaps I was just drunk and it was better than the other stuff we were having. It's acceptable today, especially considering the price for a Bordeaux, but I won't get the case I was pondering. Drinking this 24 hours later (with the bottle open the whole time) it tastes exactly the same. Definitely has some structure, but overall not very exciting. (494 views)
