  • Perfect bottle! B-stand. Re-corked in the mid 1940s.
This bottle came from a case owned by the danish artist Helene Skough. Good cork with a black "burnt" top.
Quite dark colour for its age, yet a rusty colour.
On the nose the wine offer cloves, coffee/mocca, menthe, mushrooms, pencilshavings/graphite, sweet cicely, soy, spices and leather.
On the palate this wine performs totally wonderful. Impeccable balance. Velvety structure, elegant with a mature fruit that taste of chocolate, liqourice, pepper, tobacco and leather. Lots of mineral. You can almost feel the iron in your mouth. Very long taste!
Feels like a fairy dance in the mouth :-)
This wine kept on growing in the glass for over three hours ... unfortunatly it was not a magnum, so after three hours it was all gone. But I'm sure this wine will keep its greatness for at least another 20 years or so.
    Pure magic!
