LaLa's at the Ledbury- good fill , color is fading a bit but the nose was alive and kicking, earth, leathery, a little smokey around the edge. Bottle had a nice zip of acidity still and well balanced. Comforting Rhone served with a great meal. If you have this one drink and enjoy
A Trip to Bern's for Old Bordeaux and Burgundy: Meh. Not really singing. Wines like 1982 and 1983 have moved the earth for me, but this was just a nice, older Côte-Rôtie. Maybe I was too ready for the Burgundy and Bordeaux to follow or too jaded by some past stellar experiences, but while solid this was nothing to go crazy over in my book.
