I was worried as when I received this via "woot" a week ago, there was some leaking from the cork. After a week, I opened it and there was more evidence of leaking from cork. First day opened was Tuesday 8/15/2017 and I first thought "it was cooked". But it tasted fine. On Wednesday 8/16/2017, it was better - good fruit, not cooked plum flavors with some acidic bite. Very tasty. On Thursday 8/17/2017 (bottle finished), still good fruit and acid with some lead pencil notes which I like. Very good and well made.

Took a while to open before it was good. Once it had a couple of hours to breath with the bottle open it was much better. There is some bitterness that mellowed. Still there, but now is an acceptable counter point to the sweet fruit

This wine is absolutely awesome right now. Extremely well integrated at this point. Earthy nose of dark fruits and mild peppery spice. Drank over the course of a couple hours and the complexities on the palate just kept getting better, and never fading. Dark fruits (blueberry/blackberry), black pepper, other spice components. A hint of fig, vanilla bean, and something else with a bit of earthy spice I can't distinguish. This wine has been wonderful from first opening through a few hours later. It can easily last a few more years in the cellar.

Perfectly balanced, nose of earth and dark fruit. Black fruit, tobacco, dark chocolate, and earth on the palate. Perfect with grilled porterhouse.

Ready to drink now. Good nose, dark fruit and earthy notes. A meaty note and chewy. Don't think it will get much better.
