Still delicious, still a great QPR. A little disjointed on pop 'n' pour but the fruit sweetens and smooths within a half-hour. I'll miss having these handy.

Me, I wouldn't characterize this as past its prime, but that depends what you like and, of course, how it's been stored. I gave this bottle to a friend (an Orphan fan) in February (it rested upright in her pantry); she brought it over last night and we had it with braised lamb shank and roasted root vegetables. Orphan is never a powerhouse: it can be rough at the edges when young (with lushly precocious fruit); at six years old, this has become a seamless and smooth expanse of deep crimson. Sensual and feminine on the palate, this Cabernet-Syrah blend remains Justin's best QPR, an excellent value for the $17.50 I paid in 2007.

Delicious, easy drinking. But drink 'em if you got 'em; it's time!

Past it's prime. Nice oak and rich flavor. Sour bouquet however. May have been corked.
