This might have been a fair enough fruit bomb in 1999-2000, but now it is a fruit-bomb corpse. All tannins have broken down but the sweetness of the fruit remained and got accentuated, while the wine gathered no real complexity at all. Without the tannic structure it is just sweet and unpleasant. If I were to give it a rating now it would be 78-79, but that's unfair, as it was probably never meant for 12 years of aging.

($15) Pleasant deep, dark fruit with bits or earth and meat. Well concentrated and zinfandel or Shiraz like in its great spices.12/23/99
