Bursting with high toned ripe dark fruit on the nose, touch of tea-like aromas, with time it develops an almost candied, sharp dark berry element.
On the palette leans towards darker fruits and sour cherry.great depth and complexity of rich fruit flavours. There is a coolness on the palette with a backbone of spice. Touch of grip and powerful, long finish at the end tinged with a cola-like spice.
Opened an hour before drinking. Drank Over 3 hours.
Wine got better and better with time in glass. Became broader. would advise giving it more time to breathe than i afforded it. min 2 hours would be ideal.

This was on the dark side of the burg spectrum with black fruit and dark, sultry flavors. Not as fine as some other Leroy grand crus but still mighty good burgundy.

La Paulée Chevalier Fête (Saison - San Francisco CA): Two identical bottles from my cellar. Great spice, all black fruit with lots of roasted meat. Very long finish, very powerful throughout.
