Drinking nicely. Tannins ripe and well integrated. Masculine in character Balanced between fruit tannins and acidity. Medium length. Lifted dark fruit.

Dark ruby in color with a nose of dark cherries, mineral and mocha. Palate was medium bodied, good volume with ripe red fruit, earth and less obvious oak than the nose. Muscular with decent acidity, mild tannins and a pleasant finish. Drank over two nights and the oak never became overbearing or annoying. Terrior correct and more approachable than what you would expect from a 2005 Rugiens.

Minneapolis Wine Club Does Burgundy (Beth's House): Wonderful nose, funk, earthiness, mushrooms, florals, sweet raspberries, and black cherry, with vanilla notes. Nice mouth feel, good depth on the palate, nicely balalnced with fruit, acid and tannins playing well together. This was my second favorite of the red burgs tonight. A wonderful wine!

Strawberry, spice, earth and minerals. Subtle nose and palate and not too complex. Not drinking as well as previous efforts.

Minneapolis Wine Club does Burgundy (Cote D'Or) (Beth's House): Another nice showing for this wine with cherry, plum, spice and cedar. Nice concentration and drinking well now.
