Wow! Terrific. Redolent red, blue and black berries. Powerful, nuanced and balanced. Amazing balance of acid, silky tannins, lively with great grip and a long finish.
Tobacco, leather and spices.
Just a terrific wine, drinking well right now.

Cork was in good shape. Opened to breathe 3h before dinner with friends and decanted as soon as we reached Love and Salt in Manhattan Beach. Earthy, leathery, tobacco notes predominated with cherry, graphite and a long finish. Smooth and classy, almost understated. Many other secondary notes floated into and out of the tasting profile during the meal, herbality, vegetal, foresty flavors and smells. Tannins resolved, no sign of aging, this still has plenty of life. A complex meditation wine. Paired with meatball appetizers, spicy pastas, and pizza.
