This performed really well tonight. Typical burgundy, in terms of the body and general character. Overall seemed "cleaner" than I remember it from my last bottle a couple years ago. Beautiful, perfumed nose. And good length. That's what's been missing from the other wines I've recently uncorked with high expectations. But this one had it: a good finish that lasts. This exceeded expectations. Very good stuff.

Ruby color. Nose of dark berry, violets, forest floor, and hints of licorice. Interesting melange of black raspberry and plum fruit cut with bits of iron and wood on the palate, delivered with sweetness and a glossy sheen. Filed-off tannin and freshening acidity. Moderately long finish of ripe, sweet fruit undergirded by stone and grip. Impressive showing at a young stage, with further integration likely to occur.

Medium body, bright cherry color. Charming wild fruits and flowers aroma complements by oak notes. Dominant blueberry and currants palate with lingering spicy finish. Very attractive wine, complex, well-structured and balanced, silky texture, dry tannins and natural berries acidity. Food friendly, best match is a veal bourguignonne or other stewed meat dishes. Open about half hour ahead. Serve 17 - 22º. Drink now.

Bourgogne 1er cru evening (at Chanoch Reichenberg): this wine requires advanced decanting - then it reveals its full potential, which is very good and enjoyable, both nose & palate. can further age 5-10 years at least

12 years has given this a nice texture. Clear meniscus; bit of sediment. A light sort of earthiness. Very good.
