Heidi's Gang: Wind Chill & Frostbite (Maison Margaux, Mpls): Medium dark red color. Drank a glass over an hour. Love the fantastic spices and sauvage; cinnamon and almost sweet-like spices, beautiful wild cherry, and dried flowers on the nose. The palate is savory with black cherry and baked raspberry, dried earth, soft tannins and and a suave texture on a long medium bodied frame. Loved it. 94+ to 95pts.

Heidis Group In The Warehouse Dist MSP. My last '06 Fuees and it did not disappoint. Served in the same flt with an '01 Vogue Musigny and an '07 Vogue Musigny. All 3 btl were stellar and we enjoyed the delineation between the 3 w/ my Le Fuees the most unique of the 3 w/ its site position adjacent to Bonnes Mares and the other 2 on the opposite side of the community. This was more robust in a relative sense than the 2 Vogue yet still extremely elegant and ethereal. I happened to notice it was the first emptied of the 3 and perhaps the most absolutely enjoyable. The cork crumbled from getting dry in my wine cabinet I guess but the wine itself was perfection and exceeded my expectations. This is why we love Burgundy! Especially with 18yrs under its belt. My red of the night by a hair. Equal billings though w/ Steve's '01 Musigny for different reasons.

Cork stain indicating slight leak. Acrid smells on the nose with initial brackish red fruit on the tongue. After 2 hours the nose came out to play with scents of high pitched violets, fresh cut berry, iodine, and stony earth. Magical transformation of the palate revealing silky red raspberry fruit cut with filed-off, granular tannin and bright acidity. Longer finish of brooding piquant red berry and iron. Lovely wine breaking through after a rough start.
Fully mature and in the zone. Didn't benefit from some extra air as we awaited our table. More leather and prune than typical from high end Burgundy, but still had a bright red fruit quality and good acid. Drink up, this isn't improving.
