  • Consistent notes with this wine, though the bottle tasted just now was tighter than I remember. Lots of red and black pinot fruit still, some oak influences, soy sauce, baking spice, rose petal and minerally influenced dark cherry. Elegant, lots of floral influence and takes on more of the upslope Beaux Monts freshness with time in the glass. Still young and I probably drank too many of these too early. Oh, well.

  • Burgnick's note rings true still today.

  • This is impressive for a vr pc. Very floral with flowers, stems, red fruit, and sweetness. The palate was very elegant with pure red fruit and hint of menthol. The ripeness reflected the vintage. The oak element will integrate even better with time

  • Relatively forward aromas of dark raspberries, minerality, revealing sharp threads of cinnamon and peppercorn spices coupled with juicy acids. Good clarity of fruit and appropriate midpalate sap to buffer the linear structure generally found from Beaux Monts. This becomes more spicy and pure as it opens up and the aromatics leave such an impression: when nosing this wine you can feel the spices tickling the back of your throat without any wine in your mouth. Very rich yet very lifted and fine.

  • Opened at 7:30pm. Not decanted

No formal notes taken. Initially the nose was slightly open with rasberries and some funk. Palate was light but was showing lots of primary fruits. Left the opened bottle alone until 10:30pm. Still not much improvement and unable to notice any degree of complexity in the palate or the finish. Was a bit disappointed overall as the wine was thinner and more or less simpler than expected
