Popped and poured at restaurant. Definitely has some more developing to do, as there was so much more vibrancy, life, and juicy red berries at the end of the meal. A bit muddled and boring at the onset. Wait another year or two or decant.
Candied red fruit on the nose. Wrapped up tight initially with rather aggressive tannins. It's leathery and musky too. There are some interesting parts here, with significant air it smooths a bit and begins to give more love on the nose and palate. Long, warming finish. Still austere. Needs food now. Needs time.
