A: pale garnet N: medium (+) nose of cherry, strawberry, baking spice, licorice, earth, leather , resin Dry, high acid, medium + tannin, medium alcohol, full body, medium (+) intensity flavors of red cherry, strawberry, baking spice, liquorice, earth, leather, resin and long length C: Such a joyous equilibrium between acidity and fruit concentration here. Its red fruit and spice intensity was sufficient to push through to a fine lengthy finish. Its an outstanding quality wine
The fruit was tart and ripe so still had development to go. Its a candidate for further ageing which only adds to the wines quality.

Garnet color in the glass, fairly clear looking throughout. Nose of peet, spice box and black cherry. Flavors of black cherries, black berries and raspberries. Medium to bright acidity, slightly drying tannin, full bodied. Drink or hold.
My guess was 2003 Louis Jadot Chambertin-Clos de Bèze. Missed it.

I have a lot of Jadot reds as I find they review well on Burghhound and are good value. The generally gave great deep cheery colour and the Grands Echezaux was not exception but it lacked length compared to its up front impact, is it too much sugar being injected , I worry for my other jadot swines.

Dense, mineral and needs at least another 5 years to get into its own.
