A nose of sour cherry, dark purple in color. I had always wanted to try a bottle from this winery of very small production wines, but… Sour cherry, sage, tea, tried three different times, just did not enjoy the flavor, too sour.

Spicy cool menthol-scented olive brine plum sauce with a kick of soy. Light to medium bodied with a somewhat tart finish. I think we done this one too young, but there's some awesome flavor in there. Not a wine for everybody, maybe not as user-friendly as other California syrah, but that's why I like these guys...

This is a very nice bottle of wine but I'm not sure it's worth the price tag. On the nose it's thick with cherry jam, blueberries, and some smoke. In the mouth it doesn't taste like the typical CA Syrah, it has a lemony kick that isn't quite tart but does remind you of lemon cream pies. There's so flowery notes to complement the fruit. The strangest thing is the smoke and peppers does not integrate well with the floral and fruity notes. Tannins are soft and not overly dominant. Finishes moderate and smooth.
Remember, you don't drink the label.

Decanted one hour, consumed over the following 2. Very fragrant nose. Herbal, meaty, cracked black pepper. Palate was full of fragrant herbs, roasted meat and black olives. Heft but light on its feet. This improved throughout and will be killer in a couple of years.

(Arnot Roberts Clary Ranch Syrah) #3; VaynerPAZZZ; COLOR-gorgeous; NOSE-black pepper for days; big bombastic blueberries; a little currant; some good French black licorice; I get ham component; just a gorgeous nose; TASTE-Big wine; a big blueberry juice component; I love the Barbeque smokiness action; I like this; a refined effort; a tad simple on the mid-palate; very textbook; like many Syrah's coming out of California, therefore lacking some charisma; the BBQ on the back-end is unique; this is a good wine; many will love it; big New World wine; JR-93; GV-90
