  • In the glass this was a deep Garnet-Amber-Brown but a bit less opaque than the '43 (see other TN I posted). The nose here was starting to show signs of oxidation but nothing substantial, earthy wet leather, an odd citrus note and ginger. I wasn't writing any notes while drinking this came but it across to me as an earthy caramel, black cherry and dried figs. Again, freak'n amazing and well beyond the need to be scored.
