  • Brick/brown in color with a wide brick rim.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate and complex with a soft mouthfeel.

Showing plums, blueberries, cooked cherries, mildew, vinaigrette, tobacco leaf, earth, dark coffee, chocolates, black pepper, herbs and wet leaves.

This 58 year old Napa Cabernet is still drinkable, but over the hill now. Showing great complexity though.

Didn't last for a long time, but was very nice while it lasted.

Always nice to try these iconic wines.

    12.5% alcohol by volume.

    88 points.

    ~$1,300.
