  Clear deep garnet. Intense nose of blackcurrant, plum jam, v ripe fruit, liquorice, violet, pepper.

  Dry, med acidity, med ++ tannin, med ++ body, v well integrated
  
  Tastes somewhat tangy, is most likely close to turning. Drink now whilst it’s still enjoyable.

  Synthetic cork, which I have no problem with. Had half the bottle on night one, the remainder on night 2: I noticed some fading on night 2 compared with the freshly opened bottle. While I would not buy this again, I was not dissatisfied with it. However, there are other wines at this price, or close to it, that I've enjoyed more. Somewhat "New World" in taste, but still "authentic".
