Started of a little tart but by the second half of the bottle it had settled down to become a very good wine. I am going to decant the next bottle and let it sit for an hour.

Dark magenta color, long legs. Wonderfully rich, dense fruit. Full of raspberry, blueberry, and other stone fruits. Nice warming quality, and very delicious. Perfect with Italian food of any kind, and intensely drinkable right now. The grape skin has backed off the nose a bit, and the flavors have intergrated so nice since I first has this on release weekend. And the oak is so slight, speaks to the talent of Gordy and crew. One of the best values in the state.

A very nice wine that we actually had with gnocchi with a bolognese sauce...and it matched to it quite well. The fruit of the wine was well-balanced, nice mellow tanins rounded the wine nicely. The fruit was mainly rasberry and hint of strawberry jam that had some hints of earth to balance it.

Took a while to open up but it was smooth as silk by the end of the night. I wish I had more.

This Sangio is aging nicely. Great drinking right now. Paired well with wild boar steak.
