Cassis and cedar on the nose, medium acidity, low tannins, medium body and shortish finish. Still a very enjoyable midweek wine.

UGC 2007 Bordeaux (The Drake, Chicago IL): nose: rather green nose with some bell pepper tones, cedar, tobacco, and dark red cherries. A bit on the simple side as well
taste: comes off as green and rather astringent with tones of bell pepper, cedar, and dark red cherries
overall: forgettable. This had some hard tannins on it as well and was spat out rather quickly
