This was an excellent looking bottle recently purchased from JJ Buckley with a fill well into the neck. Removing the capsule reveals that the bottle a perfect cork indicating that it was recorked in 2012. The bottle also didn't throw much sediment so my guess if that these were probably completely reconditioned at this time. This was an enjoyable drink and tasted aged but something happens when the bottle is disturbed that takes the soul and nuance away from the wine. It was fresher than I would have expected which is probably the result of the wine being topped off with a current vintage. As I said this was okay but I wouldn't buy again.

nose: nice well aged nose that is more cab franc heavy with leather, floral tones, bits of blueberry, crushed rocks, and a lot of root vegetables
taste: very silky feel with barnyard tones, root veggies, leather, some floral tones, and bits of cranberry
overall: very beautiful and elegant wine. This wine is in a perfect place right now with the tannins fully integrated and what we have left is a great example of an aged right bank wine
