Intense darkish yellow color. Burnt wood, cream, durian fruit. Mouth: Whan an intensity and fire (not in a bad sense). The mouth is consistent with the nose. Instead of durian I get more tangerine. Grapefruit, too. Very dry. The 14% alc. content is not noticeable at all. This is a very delicious and thought-provoking wine. A masterpiece. You can also drink it with any meal you would normally drink a red wine. It is a very versatile wine but not with Asian or Indian dishes. I know it may sound odd but it is a bargain. Drink now or in the next 8 years.
very long lingering finish, excellent minerality, with citrus and honeydew melon. -paired extremely well with quail cooked with Meyer lemon, green beans with roasted almond slices, brown rice, mushrooms sauteed in truffle oil. -Then cubes of swiss cheese with currant jelly, later with lavender chocolate truffle.
From a blend of 70% Sauvignon Blanc and 30% Semillon, the wine offers honeyed lemon, grapefruit, melon, vanilla and floral notes. Round in texture and packed with fruit, the finish ends with fresh, pure, ripe, lively honeydew melon, citrus and spice flavors.
Clear, bright gold core with a small white edge. Wine looks very youthful. The nose is clean with cantaloupe, melon, fresh cut kiwi and vibrant minerality. As the wine warms tones of wood and spice exemplify. On the palate this Bordeaux has high acidity with forward minerality with the fruits taking a bit of a backseat to the acids and minerality. Not to say this is lacking fruit, its still quite tropical with pineapple, melon and layers of citrus bringing a lot of fruit complexity. The moderate body of this wine transcends to the long elegant finish where hints of oak, clove and spice are softened by butter and flavors of citrus and orange rind. Moderate alc, well balanced. This will age gracefully over the next 10 years but it drinks so deliciously now who could wait... Outstanding Quality 93pts
