Dark lemon/ Medium gold color Medium plus aromas of lemon/ ripe pear with baking spice/new oak aromas - very well integrated Medium plus bodied with palate of lemon curd/unripe apple and yellow floral notes and oak spice - linear mouthfeel with rounded edges Medium plus acidity with medium alcohol and minimal phenolics Medium length led by the acid Drinking nicely but not as impressive as previous tasting Drink now or can hold

Blind tasting Pale gold Aromatics medium +. New oak, mainly spice driven with an almost match stick reductive quality. No coconut, dill or obvious vanilla oak notes to me. Underneath the spice was a subtle golden apple. No pyrazines Palate has a medium + body with a full mouthfeel. Acid medium +. Mild phenolics. Alcohol medium +. Spiced pear followed by lime and salted rocks. Finish has a medium + length. Balanced Dry glass notes of oak spice Compared with my last unblinded tasting note from 2.5 years ago, I had a similar feel/score for this wine. This time I guessed new world chardonnay from Arnot-Roberts, 2017. In retrospect, the oak is not American and the acid is too high. Regardless, still a beautiful wine Drink now, but still has years in bottle if desired.

QN: from screwcao... beautiful wine... aromatics a perfect mix of SB grapefruit and SEM lanolin all wrapped up with some integrated baking spices. on the palate the coolness of the vintage shows with lots of acids, low alcohol, and a firmness and linerarity instead of lush depth. drink up, excellent wine for vintage.

I might have given this a higher score but others in the family enjoyed it less. Much better for me than the 2006. Racy, acidic, slight grapefruit - the SB really powered through but overall impression utterly bone dry. Maybe more an aperitif than with food? Very nice and if memory serves, extremely inexpensive via Garagiste.

Love the complexity of aged white Bordeaux. Even modest bottles such as this. One of the most underrated varietal imo
