This is tremendous…is it at its prime? Always difficult to know. Could this get better? I’m hoping it will. One more 375 ml is in my cellar and my plan is to hold off for another year. It’s interesting how some wines on CellarTracker increase as a wine ages. The scores on this Suduiraut have increased with age and seem to be hovering in the mid 90s. My hopes are that in a year it will at least be the same or slightly better. Cheers!

Epic! A truly wonderful way to celebrate the holidays. Sweet, seductive nose of candied caramel wrapped around hints of stone fruits and pretty florals. Mouthfeel is lush, creamy, and viscous, which coats the mouth with a palate of sweet caramel and marzipan along with florals weaved throughout. Beautiful, big and lenghty finish! Cork was fragile, and required a Durand to extract it cleanly.

Excellent Sauternes that is in its prime (at least out of a 375ml). Tons of marmalade, saffron, honeysuckle, and spices on the nose and palate. Rich, unctuous texture with enough acid to balance out the RS. Finish goes on forever. Had a bottle about 3 years ago and this one is showing much better. Wish I had more.

Classic representation of aged Sauternes. Notes of honey, orange marmalade & rind and salted caramel. Great acid backbone to balance the palate weight and long finish. Drinking great now and will for a long time to come.

Brilliant amber in color. Intense & pronounced aromas of apricot, candied orange, baked pineapple, crystalized ginger, that nutmeggy/botryised aroma. In the mouth, the wine is sweet, full bodied, tempered by a laser-like steely acid streak running through to the finish of the wine, makes it quite drinkable. Flavors match the intensity of the nose and flow seamlessly. From 375ml, drink or hold. Well made and enjoyed.
