This was surprisingly good - quite open upon P&P and got better with some air. Fresh pours were successively better, and what started out as quite a dark wine mostly exhibiting blue and black fruit really opened up to give off more red and floral notes. Excellent balance and tannins quite integrated at this point, going down smoothly and not too grippy at all. Good acidity and a long finish. Overall, a wonderful Lafleur. The scoring range is probably around a 93+ to be more precise, but am feeling generous tonight.
Drinking very well at the moment, but will keep at this level for a while. If you like your Bordeauxs fresh but well integrated, then it's at a great spot right now with a little bit of air. Happy to revisit again and thanks to M for sharing this delightful treat!

A beautiful and elegant wine. Began with dark fruits and a caramel finish that quickly turned to lovely dark earth while maintaining a classic long and elegant finish. Beautiful perfume on the nose with floral notes. Opened up quickly and developed nicely in under an hour in the decanter!

Lovely ripe plums and blackberry on the nose, with exotic spice. Explosive fruit with butter chocolate shavings and slightly drying tannins. Very good.

Opened in HK. P&P and enjoyed slowly.

My wife said 90 - I said 92. It was lovely, not know yer socks off...more like a soulful visit from an old friend.
