Very full bodied with lush red fruit, I've liked all of the Martin Alfaros I've drunk and surprised this didn't get more respect, I'll buy more of later vintages

Cherry, earth, and strawberries on the nose. A blast of caramel followed by muted cherries and raspberries on the palate. Deep and full-bodied. Lush and elegant finish. Very nice.

(Martin Alfaro Pinot Noir Garys' Vineyard) Medium grey cherry red color with pale meniscus; earthy tart red fruit, rhubarb and oak nose; spicy, complex, ripe cherry, but a little hot; medium-plus finish (consensus #1 in its flight of 4)

Family Winemakers of California (Pasadena, CA): Perhaps my least favorite Alfaro pinot. Came across a little like a cherry Pop-Tart.
