Much nicer experience with this bottle. Drank over three days. Peaked on day 2. Hedonistic merlot in the Foley style with rich body, deep dark fruits, chocolate and vanilla from the oak. Well integrated for the style. Long finish that kept me interested for more. Not for traditional Right Bank drinkers.

Very nice wine. Surprising flavor profile - some blue and black berry on the front of the tongue, followed-up by graphite and a little tar in the back end. We don't drink much Merlot, but we would do more of it if this was widely available.

This one was okay but had too much of a very vanillin oak flavor that I've noticed in a lot of Washington wines lately. My last-place finisher of the tasting.

OK this got better after a pop and pour start. It's not a dark color at all. Instantly makes you think it will be a thin wine. Primary cherry flavor, with a nice candy cherry nose. A simple merlot.

(Mercer Merlot Horse Heaven Hills) #1; COLOR-dark; NOSE-gorgeous raspberry fruit exploding; really nice; boatloads of cherry juice for days; TASTE-very interesting wine; completely attacks and coats your palate w/ cherry juice and Crème Fraiche; I get some vanilla and a hint of mocha; there's good balance & texture; a tad tannic which is nice; adore the $18 price tag; big wine; this wine is extremely ambitious that I like; nice length; a little disjointed; VERY solid backbone; a VERY solid effort; this is a good merlot; there is some clear bitter tannins on the mid-palate that I like, but some may not; WS-91; GV-90+

Nothing special. Drank over two days. OK merlot. Body was a bit thin. Never softened.
