Way more mature and darker tonight than the '92 but it still has legs. Plenty of sweet, decadent fruit left here with mature notes of caramel and honey. Rather unctuous and opulent but is best on the finish which shows good concentration and complexity. I prefer the freshness of the '92 but this is excellent aged White Burgundy in it's final years...

Impromptu Bachelor's Nite (Jade Palace at Forum): Suprising acidity and freshness pumping liveliness to caramely slightly reductive notes. A bit muted on the aromatics dept but palate is deeply flavoured with good rich , slightly buttery bright yellow fruits. Nice lemons with just a touch of custard and some minerality. Excelllent wine till finish. Satisfying but just a lil shy on the nose.

1er Cru Puligny & Chassagne Montrachet 2004-1995, with Richard Brazier (Handford Wines, London): Good weight on this wine, round, lush. Meursault in style ina way. Well round, good fruit. Very much alive. Medium weight and with a lovely long nose to go with it. We really enjoyed this wine. 93+
